As we approach that time of year filled with endings let's all remember that with each ending there is a beginning and an opportunity to create what lies ahead. I just want to thank everyone in the Sheridan community for your support over the past two years. I have enjoyed serving you and working with so many of you. Being the APT President has been a wonderful experience and I've learned a lot about our schools and our community. I am thrilled to be passing the torch to Kate Rother who I am confident will be an outstanding leader for our community.
Lots of fabulous information was shared at our April meeting and as always, I strongly encourage you to review the minutes if you were unable to attend. Our APT theme this year is BALANCE. This month I shared the following quote.
“Some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity.”
REMINDER Tentative School Calendar Adjustments
June 5, 6, and 9 will be full days of school.
June 10 will be the last half day of school.
In the weeks ahead there will be a number of important communications going out to parents. Please be on the lookout for information about ordering school supplies and volunteering Beyond the Board at Sheridan next year. Also, the APT has decided to change how we gather information for our Directory. We will be using a new system that is paperless. Please be sure to read and respond to communications about these changes.
