Community Quote of the Month
RESPONSIBILITY (Taking ownership of thoughts, feelings and behaviors) is the Emotional Wellness focus in our children's classrooms during May and June. “The time is always right to do what is right” – Martin Luther King, Jr. ‘I must do something’ always solves more problems than ‘Something must be done.’” – Author Unknown To learn more about District 67's Emotional Wellness vision and initiatives visit http://www.lf67.org/district/programs/EWC.html. MAY UPDATE May is a very busy month. We don't have a regular APT meeting in May but rather an end of the year luncheon for both our old and new board members. Here are a few upcoming events.

SHERIDAN'S APT NEEDS YOU!
Our goal is to have 100% of our parents participating in and supporting the work of the Sheridan APT. Please contact Suzanne Sands at sandssuzanne@gmail.com with any questions you may have about the APT. We are currently putting together a list of people interested in helping with APT activities for next year that are Beyond the Board volunteer opportunities. This includes room parents, helping with staff luncheons, picture day volunteers and more. Simply review, fill out and return the Beyond the Board form BELOW so we know how you'd like to be involved next year.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO JOIN THE APT EVERY YEAR DURING REGISTRATION! Beyond the Board Form BELOW

If you are doing lunch duty please review the guidelines in the file above.
If you are not signed up to volunteer during lunch, it is respectfully requested that you avoid dropping in during lunch. Lunchroom supervision is provided by the school and supplemented with APT help by scheduled volunteers. It is important for students to work with lunchroom supervisors in establishing routines in the cafeteria. Please contact the office if you have any questions. If you would like more information about volunteering for Lunch Duty please contact Laurie Whisler or Vanya Kramer.
