Dear Sheridan Families:
Well... I guess you can say this year is definitely one for the books. Where do I even start? Things are definitely going to be different and I know we have all been patient, yet, so eager to know the facts on returning to school.
That being said, I know this year is going to be a challenge for us all. However, one of the most unique things about our community are the incredible volunteers and the energy of the parents, kids and staff. We are surrounded by good people, those who give back, those who care and take the time to make things better.
A friend of mine, Kimberly Carris (Mother of Gus, 3rd grader), sent the above image to me via Instagram, and messaged, "This could be really cute at Sheridan." I thought, this is great. We absolutely should do this on one of the bulletin boards at Sheridan, but it was also wonderful to have a fellow parent send a new idea along to make things just "better".
At the end of the day, we're all in this together. We will find creative ways to make sure our kids have the most normal school year as possible during these unprecedented times.
Thank you to all the APT volunteers, the Sheridan staff, our amazing teachers and our committed principal, Susan Milsk. Sheridan is a wonderful place. Let's keep it wonderful, let's face the challenges ahead and make it the best experience for everyone.
(Mom of George, 3rd grader)
